Profound

Another chorals note, was that halfway through a massive grinning session on Monday, I realised that it wasn't the placing at chorals which had me so happy and high. It was the fact that we did so well. It was because we put so much effort, lunchtimes, stress, money, concentration into the whole thing, and it paid off, because we had a beautifully marvellous madrigal performance, and the musical section was pulled off with a great magnificence. It was just a great feeling to see something come out so wonderfully in the end after all the tears, yelling and hair-pulling.
A huge thank you to my lovely orchestra buddies, for the following:
1. The bear, which incidentally looks like me. By the way, those reading glasses fit my dad. I will take a photo soon for all of you to laugh at.
2. The 'relaxation box', which I had to open then and there because Cheryllyn needed to explain it to me. I was not stressing; I just have a tendency of talking rather loudly and forcefully. Although Vineeta did walk up to me at one stage during the week leading up to chorals to feed me a digestive biscuit because I 'looked stressed'. And I wasn't even thinking about stressful things - it was recess. I was eating, therefore happy.
3. All the hard work you guys put in, me yelling at you, the shouting, the giant lapse in concentration during the performance because I was laughing so much. Thanks to all of you for letting me barge into your lives, and for your constant patience through all the raging and turmoil.
I can't wait for next year. It was one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done.
I had a whole host of things I wanted to talk about, which I have now forgotten. Typical.
Ahh, my profound moment. Alrighty, so someone said today that happy endings in stories forward slash fairytales make them depressed, because then you cry to the heavens "WHY CAN I NOT HAVE A HAPPY ENDING?" To which I replied, with some awesomeoness, is that it is because we're not at the end yet. I said it quite jokingly, in a 'duh' kind of way. But then I thought about it, and it sounded pretty epic. Then I thought about it some more later. Which makes me sorta dissatisfied with what I said. Because we're never at the 'end', we're not going to live 'happily ever after'. Man that makes me sound emo. But what I'm trying to say is that there are going to be sad days along with the happy. I'm sure Cinderella had some moments where she looked at her prince to say 'you are really bugging me today'. God knows I have those moments where people just annoy me; nothing personal, just me being in a bad mood for no reason whatsoever. Just those moments where you just need a little alone time, a little quiet.
N.B: I just got informed that 'happily ever after' is a general statement, discounting those few off-days. So ignore that whole last paragraph.
I guess I want a happy ending too. Now I'm drifting in my little bliss state of mind, which could be potentially fatal, as I have come to discover, because then I become complacent and think that I can realise my dreams without doing anything.
What else? I did have something to say. It was sitting in my mind. And now I've forgotten it.
I want to see Robin Hood.
I want to see Iron Man 2. Because Tony Stark is the best.
To get Viv for her birthday:
- almond bread
- a hug

Wap bam boom

Alright, so I was going to blog about chorals anyway, when I got round to it, but just got told that it is rather sad that I don't blog anymore, so I guess I'll do that now.
Chorals was amazing. End of story. A huge thank you to some awesome directors, house captains, and my amazing orchestra. And everyone else. It was awesome to work with you guys and I had awesome fun. And made some awesome friends. I've been overusing the word 'awesome' lately in relation to chorals (almost as much as I use 'tired'), but it is so deserved. Let it never be said again that Oreads is the 'loser' house, because we came second. Yeah, that's right. Second in I don't know how long in our run of being fourth, but second. Beat that.
Well, Dryads did beat that, but all you other houses, beat that.
It was amazing. And awesome. As soon as we played the first two chords of Thriller, I was grinning like an idiot. And then the drums went BA DA BOOM and I was laughing like a maniac. Bad of me to have such a lapse in my conducting concentration, but it was just too good. I loved every moment of it. The excessive hugging, crying and whispered 'awesomes' after madrigal came off stage. The screaming and chanting when it was announced that we didn't come last. The crazy adrenalin rush I had before we went on stage, that meant I was walking around giving thumbs up to the whole orchestra with a massive grin pasted across my face. I loved it.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you directors. Thank you house captain. Thank you Angela, awesome madrigal conductor. Thank you to the awesome, awesome, awesome orchestra.
Working with everyone, despite the freak-outs and the stress, is just beyond description.
Thank you everyone for an amazing, awesome, epic time.

Knock knock

Door knocking was fun and highly amusing. I discovered that Praran/Phraran/Prahran/Prarhan had a lot of gates. Everybody had a gate. They were slightly intimidating, and we thus did not enter about a third of the residences. Another third didn't answer the door. So that makes about a third who did, and who donated.
It was time spent with cool people, for a good cause, and there was free food. How much more could you ask for?
Highlight of the trip was this guy giving us a whole plateful of silver; must have been nearly 20 bucks worth of coins. Although we did 'steal' that house from our collecting partners...but they were being slow. We didn't mean it.
All in all, much fun.

(8)

I seem to be having strange musical days lately.
The day I posted Young Forever, I just kept listening to it over and over. Then a few days ago, it was Doesn't Mean Anything by Alicia Keys. Then yesterday and Friday I listened to Everybody Knows (John Legend)about 20 times. Now even Mum knows it cause I kept rewinding back to it in the car.
In other news, I'm going to France (hopefully) at the end of the year. I'm am tres excited. Really really really really really really chuffed. Stupendously chuffed. Enormously chuffed.
If only my French were that good.
I've always wanted to go to Europe. It's so...it's the centre of everything. Everything happens in Europe (except for all the stuff that happens in America, I guess). And it's so musically historical.
Pity I'm only going to France. I'd love to go to England too - ABBEY ROAD. But hey, going to France is lucky enough.
I "graduated" (officially conferred into Associate of Music, but let's just call it graduation) on Monday. It was weird. I didn't feel half as chuffed as when I actually got the phone call from my piano teacher to tell me I'd passed. Don't get me wrong, I was still very happy.
And after the ceremony, in our splendid evening gowns and suits, we went to Richmond and had pho.
The end.

I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl

AND IT'S BACK.
That feeling of invincibility.
I love it.
Despite the fact that I have English essay tomorrow. And I have no idea what to put on my notes. And I've completely forgotten how to write English essays. And my lack of sleep is turning my brain into mush. And various other things.
But I feel good.
Just thought I'd put it out there.
I got told that lately I've been irritable. That's largely due to many things to do, lack of time, and lack of sleep. Although some may contend that I sleep more than others even when I'm sleeping less than usual, to me, that's not enough.
It peeves me when people make it as thought it's not a big deal, as though I can't possibly be tired.
Annoys me when people act as though any hurt that's mine isn't really a hurt at all.
Where did that come from? No idea.
And although I have been 'irritable' lately, that's different to being unhappy. I'm very happy. Just easily annoyed.

I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl.

Book

"You didn't let me see you exposed from all your pain. You hid and you left me there. Don't ever ask anyone to that again. Don't ever ask them to bare their soul and then leave it. It's cruel and no matter how much pain you were in, you had no right."
"If he can still p*ss her off, it's a whole lot better than indifference."

sacchiride-y 16th

Sweet 16th...literally. So much sugar. So much stupidity. And pizza.
And what a ridiculous amount of ducks.
So thanks to everyone who made me smile with their lovely gifts, or laugh hysterically, in the case of Vivien's beautifully written and illustrated picture book. Thanks for the ridiculously overpriced bag (I love it), the duck bag, the ducks (of course), the playing cards, the big card, all the other stuff that I can't be bothered listing.
But most of all, thank you for all the words. The people who took time and effort to construct a piece of writing, over the net, especially more so if it was on paper. Because then it's a lasting memory.
So let me get to this one point of rage which I can't get over, then we can go back to blissful happy happy.
You were all cut up that no one was wishing you happy birthday, but we eventually sprung you with a card, when I came home.
So why didn't you do the same for me?
There's not really any bitterness in that, I guess, because I got so much stuff yesterday, and spent so much time happy that it was ridiculously awesome. I guess I'm disappointed, and I'm just wondering why you do what you do. And why you can't seem to put yourself in other people's shoes.
Maybe I'm being naive, maybe you've endured more than I have, but I still can't understand it.
But let's close that thought, and once again say thank you very much to everybody.
You make it all worth it.

stupid time

I've written an awesome poem.
It is awesome.
It sounds emo.
But awesome.
Here we go.

I stare at you, my enemy, standing there so arrogantly.
You're stronger, faster, so many levels above me.
But you can't hurt me,
You just leave me confused,
Paralyzed, infatuated.
Over and over you hypnotise me,
And there's nothing I can do, I'm powerless.
And I hurt myself in my own confusion.

Blackness invades my vision.
You've won.

Ahem.
Now to reveal the awesomeness behind it.
It's about a Pokemon battle.
(Sarah starts singing Pokemon battle music)

zzzzzzzz

I thought I'd just post that I am really tired at this current point in time.
Had four to six hours sleep last night. Unlike many others, I am not a superteen. I can't function on four to six hours, which was probably closer to five. Especially if the sleep is gotten in chunks and not one huge block. Make sense? No? Well, I'm tired. I get incoherent when I'm tired.
And thus, I'm really tired. Having weird dreams didn't help either. I tend to get tireder when I dream. I swear I yawned about fifty times today. Close enough to it anyway.
What else?
I should go to bed. I should also do the three exercises of methods I've fallen behind on. More like four actually. Whatever. And answer some questions about Medea. Sounds like morning-train work to me. Sleep sounds like now work though.
Good night.
But not before I eat a nectarine.

Inspiration

I just found out that Mrs Fenton, who first inspired me to write, has sadly passed away. I'll always remember her, because she was, as I said before, the whole reason behind me writing, and having the dream in grade six, which I can still see very clearly now. I'll make it, whether it's this year, next year, or ten years after, I'll make it.
Thank you.
